China Completes World's Biggest Floating Solar farm

Good news!

China Completes World's Biggest Floating Solar farm.

The solar farm is located about 300 miles northwest of Shanghai at the site of an abandoned and now flooded coal mine.

With 166.000 panels on the lake , the farm can generate 40 megawatts of electricity , which is enough to power 15.000 homes according to Sungrow Power Supply, the Chinese firm that built the plant.

South China Morning Post notes that floating solar farms use areas that would otherwise go unused.
